What Hoover Toyota is Doing to Fight Stress During COVID-19
The last thing you want when car shopping is a stressful experience. When you’re stressed out, it’s not fun for anyone. COVID-19 has definitely put everyone on edge, but our teams at Hoover Toyota are trying everything they can to create a stress-free environment to shop in. To do that, we’re implemented a few steps to help protect everyone from our staff to customers, and keep the spread of COVID-19 as low as possible!
Preventative Steps Taken at the Dealership
Effective immediately, our dealership has implemented the following steps to ensure a healthy environment for all guests:

When walking around a car dealership, there are many surfaces you’re bound to come into contact with. And since COVID-19 likes to hangout on hard surfaces, we’ve instructed our cleaning staff to continuously clean and disinfect all high-touch surfaces throughout the dealership, including tables, lobbies, door handles, restrooms, van shuttle seats, phones, and more.

This second part is more on you. We’ve got the high-touch surfaces handled, but there are many items that you might touch during your visit. So we’ve added a bunch of hand sanitizing stations throughout our showroom and office areas. We highly recommend using them after handling items like keys, pens, clipboards, etc.

Right now, it’s important to remain at home if you are feeling sick. The last thing we want is for those showing symptoms to be the cause of further spread. We’ve already mandated our staff to stay home if they are experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms.
The steps we are taking moving forward have been inspired by the advice being provided to the public from trusted organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
We always want to provide a carefree and safe environment where you can shop for a new Toyota in peace. We don’t want anyone having to worry about contracting COVID-19 during their visit. Which is why these precautionary measures will remain in place until further notice.
What We Can Offer You Outside of the Dealership
Complimentary Pickup and Delivery*
COVID-19 has us all pretty uncertain about how things will be tomorrow, next week, next month. So many have decided to just shop online to be safe. However, there are some features that tend to be exclusive to people who shop in-person and those shopping at home can miss out or even be turned away from buying altogether. If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you’ve been there. But our teams at Hoover Toyota figured out a way to bring some of those features to everyone, regardless of the style of shopping you choose.
We’ve added a couple of convenience programs designed with you in mind. Keeping stress low while shopping is kind of our whole thing and these programs should help with that! First up we’ve got the new car delivery program. This one allows you to complete the entire buying process from your home and even have your brand new Toyota or used car delivered to your driveway.
Next we have the service pick-up program, which works if you already have a Toyota but need to get some work done on it. Just schedule a service visit with our expert technicians like you normally would, only this time you can let us know a time and place and we’ll come pick your car up for you! You can relax at home and go about your day, while we take care of bringing your car into our service center, do whatever it needs done, and drop it back off with you, washed and sanitized!

At Home Test Drive*
The one thing that many shoppers can’t do without is definitely the test drive. It’s very rare for someone to buy a brand new car, or a used car for that matter, without test driving it first. And when you’re shopping online, that feature is usually only possible if you come into the dealership. But not anymore!
The at-home test drive from Hoover Toyota makes it possible for you to test drive any car you find in our inventories without coming into the dealership and potentially putting your health at risk. Just let us know the time and location you’d like to request the test drive for, and we’ll call to confirm before bringing the car of your choice over to you!
While you have the car, you have the freedom to take it around wherever you want. When you’re done, just let us know if you want to move forward with it or not! If you didn’t like it, we’ll take it back and you can schedule another test drive if you want!
