The 2025 Toyota 4Runner, coming soon to Hoover Toyota in AL – serving Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Alabaster, and Vestavia – is generating lots of talk about its upgraded performance. Under the hood, the new standard engine is a turbocharged 2.4L 4-cylinder engine that generates 278 hp/317 lb-ft of torque, but a hybrid powertrain will be available for the first time ever on a 4Runner. The i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain pairs turbocharged 2.4L 4-cylinder engine and electric motor that packs a punch with combined 326 hp/465 lb-ft of torque – making it the most powerful powertrain ever for this model. Numerous tech upgrades are inside the cabin, including a new 8-inch or newly available 14-inch center touchscreen displaying the newest version of Toyota Audio Multimedia with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility. There’s also a standard 7-inch or available 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. Plus, Toyota Safety Sense 3.01 is standard on all trims.
